Privacy Policy

Applies to try-qr.com. This page describes exactly what the service stores — it is intentionally short because very little is stored.

The short version

No accounts, no tracking cookies, no IP addresses, no personal profiles. Dynamic QR codes store the destination URL you enter and a minimal scan counter; static QR codes never touch our servers at all.

What a dynamic QR code stores

  • The destination URL, the content type and the creation time of the code.
  • Optional design metadata (colors and shape settings) that you chose in the generator.
  • A scan event containing: the scan time, the device class (mobile or desktop, derived from the user-agent string) and the visitor's country code as supplied by our CDN's geo header.

What is never stored

  • IP addresses.
  • Names, email addresses or any account data — there are no accounts.
  • Cookies for tracking or advertising.
  • The full user-agent string; only the mobile/desktop class is kept.

Static QR codes

Static codes are generated entirely in your browser. The data is written into the pattern itself; nothing is sent to or stored on our servers.

Where the data lives

Dynamic codes and scan counters are stored in a managed PostgreSQL database (Supabase) hosted in the EU region by default. The dashboard list of your codes is kept only in your own browser's local storage and is never uploaded.

Your control

You can re-point or stop using a dynamic code at any time using its private edit link. To have a specific dynamic code and its scan history deleted, send the short code to the contact address below and it will be removed.
